Gold

First Grade is all about spreading smiles and making others feel like they are worth more than GOLD! Last year my fabulous co-worker Mrs. Kelly had a great idea to make her friend (the secretary at Liberty Pines Academy) feel super special by sending our darling first graders to serenade her with a song! We decided to include several other secretaries as well on our journey!

This year we were able to have 3 other classes join us in spreading smiles across our county! We loaded up two buses of super adorable first graders (that have been practicing their dance moves A LOT) and split up to divide and conquer a total of 11 elementary schools and the St. Johns County District office!
The kids ROCKED! We rotated our rappers (that had to try out for the part) and decorated gold crowns by covering them in jewels! We hopped off the bus...gathered around the secretary...sang our hearts out...and loaded up for the next school!

Here is the pictures from our "Gold" field trip! I loved this day spreading smiles with my kiddos! We loaded up the kids with gold sparkle glitter spray and mardi gras beads! They were ready to rock! Check them out!
 Getting ready to leave...

My super cute and extra fabulous girls!
 The whole Schmidt Smile crew!
All of the first grade classes ready to spread some smiles...
We just had to have a silly picture :)
On the "SMILE BUS" heading to our first stop Timberlin Elementary!

Mackenzie and Ava rapping at our first stop! These girls sure do SHINE!
Next stop Mill Creek Elementary..Ava and Tyler ready to RAP!

At Palencia we also spread a few tears...of joy!! These ladies loved our awesome kiddos! Nadia and Mackenzie rapped it up!

We stopped to have a picnic lunch at the park nearby...but were greeted with giant puddles and rain clouds!

Last stop...Liberty Pines Elementary...to visit the secretary that started this inspirational journey!

Thanks so much for a "golden" day! :) I just had to say it!

Gold Field Trip

On May 2nd we loaded up 2 smile buses to travel around to 9 St. Johns County Elementary Schools and the District County Office so that we could honor their front desk receptionists! We spread a lot of joy as our darling firsties danced around the women serenading them with a song! We had a crown to place on them and a Gold chocolate goody bag. It was amazing to see the impact our seven year olds can have on people they don't even know! We saw a lot of smiles and a lot of tears (happy tears of course).

Here is just a few pictures from our fabulous day!

Mr. Perkins read "one fish, two fish, red fish, blue fish" and the kiddos sorted a scoop of colorful goldfish snacks!
Mrs. Tuttle read "The Cat in the Hat" and the kiddos made red, blue and white bracelets.
