Vocabulary parade

November is a crazy busy month! One of our school's new traditions is a vocabulary parade! I love it! Everyone chooses a word...ANY word to dress up as and parade around the school! The creativity is endless...well until the parade is over;) Check out these rockin' vocabulary words...
Mr. Strickland is "fragile"...ya...right ;)
I'll take ANY excuse to wear bright colors...oh and leg warmers? YES please!
My fellow first grade teachers! Mrs. Russell and Mrs. Kelly :)
We ran into some siblings...I taught Vivian's sister Charlotte when she was a rockin' firstie 4 years ago!
I taught Mr. Reece 2 years ago...he's so grown up...and a total ROCKSTAR;)
Our crazy clan! Love these little munchkins!

Thanksgiving Story

Happy Thanksgiving!

Mrs. Moseley is our little Wren's grandmother and also a retired teacher! We love having her in our classroom so we put her work reading a book to the kids while we were waiting for parents to arrive for our Thanksgiving breakFEAST!

Mrs. Moseley is the author of the Thanksgiving play First grade has been putting on for years! This year we asked her to read it aloud while the kids acting along! She is just wonderful!!

Time for breakfeast! I love having our parents come in and just enjoy a little extra time with their very special first graders! We are thankful for parents!!
Parker clearly enjoyed his chocolate doughnuts ;)
Thank you so much to all our parents that were able to send in goodies and be here with us to celebrate a day of thankfulness! Thank you to all the parents that weren't able to make it! You all are such a great help in our classroom!
